Works well, lots of control. June 27, 2010 Jacques (Oceanside, CA) I've had this case for about four months. I've gone river rafting, hot springing, waterfall swimming, and diving down to 75' with it. The unit worked very well. Two comments: when you turn the dials on top, the camera dial rotates in the opposite direction; pushing the button half way to clear a pic that's on hold is problematic (easily solved by having the pic hold for 2 seconds). Highly recommended.
Works Great! June 11, 2010 Daniel J. Stevens (Houston, Tx) Took it down to about 80ft with no issues. I did do a test dive with it first to make sure it didn't leak. I do recommend buying some delicatessens (sp?) I used it once without, and when I put it down is some cooler water I noticed some condensation. Use the silicon like the instructions say. Just be careful and keep the seal clean and you shouldn't have an issue!
Love this thing! Must have for a G11
Dive Pictures May 21, 2010 Kevin K Williams I purchased this for a dive trip to the caymans, after 10 dives (thus far) it is holding up very well, Ive had it to a depth of 110 feet and no leaks have occurred. Use silcon on the O-ring and seal it in the room and then test it in a tub of water for leaks before submerging and you should not have any problems, 2 more dives to go.
Great product April 16, 2010 Gregory E. Peterson So far I have used this in my backyard swimming pool and in the surf of the Pacific Ocean. Works great! It's build quality is excellent and it gives you access to all of your camera's functionality. My only minor complaint it that it is a bit difficult to do the half-press of the shutter so you can grab focus and metering. Hopefully it will get easier with practice.
NO WARRANTY - and it LEAKS April 5, 2010 Francis Crosby Jr. 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I purchased this case for my new Canon G11 and had used it for 7 days on a 14 day dive trip, cleaning and greasing the o-ring after each dive. On the 8th day, I noticed some drops of water on the inside of the case during a dive. I brought it up and took it straight to the dive table to dry and open it. I found 4 drops of water on the inside and a fine mist. I thoroughly dried and cleaned it and put it in a tank of water without the camera and found that it again had a few drops of water inside. So I discontinued the use during the rest of my dive trip. I got home today and called Canon and was told there is no warranty. They did finally tell me to mail it in to them and they would take a look at it, but may not be able to do anything about it. They also told me that no one has ever had a problem with this case, but as I looked on this page, I noticed there are others with problems and they have also called them in. So my faith in Canon products went downhill quickly. I had never had a Canon but after many recommendations decided to try this product and may truly regret it now.
